Hickory

Unbreakable, Unmistakable & Highly Capable Hickory

Ah, hickory. The unlikely underdog who’s got you secretly rooting for him in that heart-wrenching love story. The unsung hero who doesn’t know how great he actually is.

Until the tables turn. And our underdog sees the light at last. He sees the light and he’ll never turn back.

Like our second-lead, hickory has been humbly working hard as the wood of choice for fuel, smoking, cooking, and making tools. If anything had to be strong and durable, it was made of hickory. If it had to absorb shock, it was made of hickory.

Before the 1990s, it was never a popular wood for flooring, furniture, and cabinets. People didn’t see the beauty in its contrasting colors. Yet. Now, hickory is well-loved for its unique and rustic appearance, thanks to its straight, occasionally wavy grain, medium texture, and its varying shades of cocoa, cherry, and blond.
